Paradise on a cruise ship

This past September, I was sooo blessed with a trip that I needed even more than I realized! Thanks Mom and Dad!
7 days on paradise--way too much food, great family time, great "me" time, and lots and lots of beautiful blue water!
We visited St. Martin, St.Thomas, and Castaway Cay. It's still hard to decide whether I enjoyed St. Thomas or Castaway Cay more. On St.Thomas, I visited Blackbeard's castle and some old homes, walked all over the place, shopped in the straw market, and visited the beach. A note if you ever go, don't be in a hurry, cause if you "catch a taxi" , the driver is on his own agenda. They also drive on the wrong side of the road, very scary when you go around curves and your brain thinks you should be on the right...
Castaway Cay is an island that is privately owned by Disney. Awesome Adult beach- just what I had been looking for--I had my own oasis-where no one could see me and I couldn't see them, just the palm tree and lots of beach. The water was as clear as bottled water. The snorkeling was really cool, didn't really need the equipment, the water was so clear, I could walk or swim and see plenty of pretty fish.
There are so many reasons that I enjoyed this trip, but would take forever to write them all down. I love talking about it though, just ask my poor husband...
For now , I am hanging on in my "temporary exile", waiting til it is time to sail the high seas once again..
